Jeans and Gelato

I go crazy for denim and gelato, well… not exactly in that order? On a recent trip to Marseille, France we had the opportunity to go on several strolls around the city. Whenever I’m touring or walking around a city I like to be comfy. Don’t you?

The Scoop on My Style

Denim dress (Old Navy)- similar dress/ similar cashmere hat/ similar leggings/ similar cardigan/similar scarf

Being comfortable was easy in this long sleeved denim dress that I’ve had forever. Since it was a bit chilly and sometimes windy in Marsielle, I paired the dress with some leggings, a cute scarf and a cashmere hat.

Cashmere cardigans are a great cool weather staple, so of course I didn’t miss the opportunity to infuse the outfit with a bit more color.

Marseille is a port city in southern France so there are quite a few boats to see.

Besides the fact that Marseille is a great walking town, in France you would be insane to miss out on the gelato. We found the yummiest spot called Amorino and splurged probably a little too much.

And get this… the gelato is served so that it looks like a flower. France is so romantic that it just seems right. Although you can get various gelato flavors on one cone, I went with chocolate. The groom went with pistachio.

This was the best gelato I have ever had and of course the prettiest.

I wasted no time in digging right in.

And of course, the gelato shop sold the thickest and richest hot chocolate ever because… obviously gelato is supposed to be chased with hot chocolate followed by several miles on the treadmill.

By the way, the Nordstrom fall clearance sale is happening right now. So now it as good as a time as any to shop.
